We are a full service design + install company-- working from visioning to installation of any type of food-producing landscape.

Custom Foodscaping transforms ordinary spaces into beautiful, food-producing landscapes. We provide consultation, design, and installation services to realize your edible landscaping, farm & garden or permaculture goals. Specializing in everything from food forests & herb gardens to profitable vegetables farms. We work with institutions including schools, universities, hospitals, community centers & restaurants.

matt lebon

Matt Lebon is a proud St. Louis native with over ten years of farming and gardening experience. Matt got his start with farming as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay. He went on to study permaculture and work on several farms in Israel and Brooklyn, NY. Over the years, Matt has become a practitioner and instructor on edible landscaping, organic agriculture, orcharding, and permaculture design.  For five seasons Matt worked at the EarthDance Organic Farm School until he left his role of farm manager in 2017. Now with CF, Matt is most passionate about creating magical food moments in the everyday places we work, learn and play.

  • Permaculture Design Certification from Adam and Eve Ecological Learning Center

  • Horticulture coursework with the Brooklyn Botanical Garden

  • Farm-Scale permaculture course with Mark Shepard

  • Rainwater harvesting course with Jeff Adams

Ben Tegeler

Ben was born and raised in the St. Charles, Missouri. He has a Community & Regional Planning degree from Missouri State University with an emphasis on designing cities that are in tune with natural systems. He continued his education in permaculture design, natural building, and  social justice. Ben has worked with Springfield, MO based Springfield Community Gardens for 6 years in a number of capacities. Working with farmers, non-profits, municipalities, and resident Ben has designed and implemented permaculture/ecological systems for the last 5 years in Missouri.

  • Bachelor's degree in Community and Regional Planning with an emphasis on Holistic Planning from Missouri State University

  • Permaculture Design Certification from Sonoran Permaculture Guild with Dan Dorsey, Barbra Rose and Brad Lancaster.

  • Regrarians Design Certificate with Darren Doherty

  • Land Ethic Leadership Certification with Aldo Leopold Foundation

  • Regenerative Earthworks Certification with Cliff Davis of Spiral Ridge Permaculture

  • Currently enrolled in Elaine Inghams Life in the Soils course.
